۱- کلیه وظایف ملل متحد مربوط به مناطق سوقالجیشی منجمله تصویب شرایط قرارداد قیمومت و تغییر و اصلاح احتمالی آن توسط شورای امنیت انجام میشود.
۲- هدفهای اساسی مذکور در ماده ۷۶ درباره مردم هر منطقه سوقالجیشی باید رعایت گردد.
۳- شورای امنیت با رعایت قراردادهای قیمومت و بدون اینکه به مقتضیات امنیت لطمهای وارد آید در اجرای وظایفی که ملل متحد برطبق نظام قیمومت در امور سیاسی – اقتصادی – اجتماعی و آموزشی مناطق سوقالجیشی عهدهدار است از کمکهای شورای قیمومت استفاده خواهد کرد.
۱. All functions of the United Nations relating to strategic areas, including the approval of the terms of the trusteeship agreements and of their alteration or amendment shall be exercised by the Security Council.
۲. basic objectives set forth in Article ۷۶ shall be applicable to the people of each strategic area.
۳.The Security Council shall, subject to the provisions of the trusteeship agreements and without prejudice to security considerations, avail itself of the assistance of the Trusteeship Council to perform those functions of the United Nations under the trusteeship system relating to political, economic, social, and educational matters in the strategic areas.
