هرگاه شورای امنیت تصمیم به استفاده نیرو بگیرد قبل از آنکه از عضوی که در شورا نماینده ندارد درخواست تدارک نیروهای مسلح برای انجام تعهدات متقبله به موجب ماده ۴۳ بنماید، باید عضو مزبور را در صورت تمایل خود آن عضو به شرکت در تصمیمات شورای امنیت مربوط به استفاده از قسمتهایی از نیروهای مسلح آن عضو دعوت نماید.
When the Security Council has decided to use force it shall, before calling upon a Member not represented on it to provide armed forces in fulfilment of the obligations assumed under Article ۴۳, invite that Member, if the Member so desires, to participate in the decisions of the Security Council concerning the employment of contingents of that Member's armed forces.
