بدون لطمه به مفاد بند ۱۲ ماده ۱۸، یا ماده XXIII یا بند ۲ ماده XXX، هر طرف متعاهد می تواند از این موافقتنامه خارج شود، یا می تواند به نمایندگی از هر یک از قلمروهای گمرکی جداگانه ای که مسئولیت بین المللی آنها را بر عهده دارد و در آن زمان دارای استقلال کامل در اجرای روابط تجاری خارجی خود و سایر قراردادها است، از این موافقتنامه خارج شود. این عقب نشینی پس از انقضای شش ماه از روز دریافت اخطار کتبی خروج توسط دبیر کل سازمان ملل متحد نافذ خواهد شد.
Without prejudice to the provisions of paragraph ۱۲ of Article XVIII, or of Article XXIII or of paragraph ۲ of Article XXX, any contracting party may withdraw from this Agreement, or may separately withdraw on behalf of any of the separate customs territories for which it has international responsibility and which at the time possesses full autonomy in the conduct of its external commercial relations and of the other matters provided for in this Agreement. The withdrawal shall take effect upon the expiration of six months from the day on which written notice of withdrawal is received by the Secretary-General of the United Nations.
